Scholarship

A limited number of full or partial scholarships are available to qualified applicants. Qualification is based on:

1. A demonstrated interest/talent in theatre
2. Financial need

Scholarship applicants are asked to write a statement explaining why they wish to attend the program and outlining any past experience in theatre or drama. Parents or teachers of applicants ages 7-9 may write the letter. Additional letters from teachers are encouraged. In addition, a statement describing financial need is required, and it is suggested that any supporting documentation be attached (proof of government assistance, or single parent/student status, or letter from social worker, etc.) Scholarships are awarded on a priority basis to those who need them most. ALL INFORMATION IS KEPT STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.

The student statement and financial documents MUST ACCOMPANY THE REGISTRATION FORM. The $50 registration fee/deposit is waived for scholarship applicants, but will be required if granted a partial scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION ARE DUE BY JUNE 1, 2008.

Notification will be sent to applicants by June 14, 2008.
