William Golding’s disturbing take on human nature is the focus of this unique new stage adaptation of the classic novel. When a group of young people are cast away on a deserted island, their desperate struggles for food, power and rescue gradually whittle away at their humanity. Soon, they turn to violence. Cast entirely with actors under the age of seventeen, with the added twist of a male and female cast, this production brings a chilling air of authenticity to Golding’s stunning narrative.
